Occasionally he liked carving
On the same day, the reporter saw Mr. Huang Zhimin, a lamp-carved Yuan, in the open-air studio of the Waterwheel Expo Park. He told reporters that so far, he has created more than 3,000 pieces of lamp carvings, which are not only carved on ordinary light bulbs and tubes, but also engraved on flashlight bulbs less than one centimeter in diameter. Mr. Huang showed the reporter his sculptures on the spot: he put the carved light bulb on the desk lamp, and then adjusted the desk lamp. In an instant, the people and things on the bulb seemed to be alive and lifelike.
When the reporter asked why Mr. Huang chose to engrave the art, Mr. Huang told the reporter: I have always liked to paint since I was a child. When I was in junior high school, I had nothing to do after class. I carved it on the desk and didn't expect to have a pretty good work. Everyone looked around the table, and the teacher came over. While criticizing me for destroying public property, I also praised my sculptures. Since then, I have liked carving. Over the years, I have worked hard on carving. In 1996, the Lanzhou Coal Mine Machinery Plant where I was located did not benefit well. I was laid off, and this became a turning point in my life. After I was laid off, I spent all my time on carvings, and my skills have improved greatly, and I have been recognized by the city's engraving community.
Produce a lamp when changing a light bulb
Later, Mr. Huang told reporters about the reason why he took the road of lamp carving. It turns out that the reason why Mr. Huang chose to illuminate the light is from a sudden incident. One night, his family's light bulb suddenly broke down. When he changed the light bulb, he suddenly thought that he could engrave on wood and porcelain. Then, he should be able to do it on the light bulb. In this way, he began the experiment of carving on the bulb.
Mr. Huang said: At that time, no one had carved on the light bulb. I also crossed the river by feeling the stones. The experiment did not know how many times it was done, but it always failed. But with the encouragement of the people around me, I did not give up, insisted on experimenting, and finally achieved success.
In Mr. Huang Zhimin's open-air studio, the reporter also saw several newly completed lamp sculptures: the magnificent scene of the mountains and rivers, spread out on ordinary light bulbs, and a peony flower on the fluorescent tube to open up these works to see the reporter Dazzling, if you are in it.
Mr. Huang said: Laid-off workers have a hard life, but as long as we don't give up life, we believe that the future will be in our hands and we can still succeed. Mr. Huang also said that if laid-off workers want to achieve re-employment through carving skills, he is willing to give guidance.
