Toshiba Lighting Technologies has listed four LED street lights. Each of them is prepared with two different light colors to replace the 400W and 250W mercury street lamps.

The company listed LED street lights with brightness comparable to 400W mercury street lights about a month ago. The street light used the same LED light source and power unit (sold separately) as the street light. However, the design of the light distribution (lighting method) and the design of the lamp body are different, and the street lamp is specifically optimized. The luminous flux of the luminaire is 10,850 lm, and the surrounding lighting capacity is the same as that of the 400W mercury street lamp. It is said that its brightness can even be used for building lighting decoration in commercial facilities and business centers. The LEDG-15803W consumes only 29% of the 400W mercury street light.

"LEDG-10803W" is a product intended to replace 250W mercury street light. The lower illumination reaches 1.7 times of the 250W mercury lamp (30m × 30m, the average plane illumination intensity when the height is 4.5m). The luminous flux of the luminaire is 7,930 lm, and the surrounding lighting capacity is the same as that of the 250W mercury street lamp. Suitable for occasions such as parks. The LEDG-10803W consumes only 32% of the 250W mercury street light.

Each model has black (Grayish Black) and silver (Metallic Silver). And the light source life of the four models is 60,000 hours. In order to make the brightness of the light source at the end of life close to the initial brightness, the power supply unit is equipped with an "initial beam compensation function" for controlling the initial brightness. It is also equipped with a Slow Start function. Unlike mercury lamps, LEDs achieve 100% brightness when turned on, so they use a design that avoids transient highlights that make residents and passers-by feel uncomfortable.
