Wi-Fi wireless fidelity technology, like Bluetooth technology, is a short-range wireless technology that is used in offices and homes. The technology uses a frequency band around 2.4 GHz, which is currently a wireless band that is not licensed. There are two standards that can be used at present, namely IEEE802.11a and IEEE802.11b. IEEE 802.11g is the successor of 802.11b and provides a data transmission rate of up to 54 Mbps on the same 2.4 GHz frequency band used by 802.11b.

At present, WiFi phones on the market are GSM and WiFi dual mode. Under the GSM network environment, users can make calls as if they were ordinary mobile phones. Once they enter the coverage area of ​​a WLAN network, they will be directly switched to a WiFi mobile phone. In addition to users, they can call IP addresses. Phones can also be used to make high-speed Internet access, send and receive e-mails or make video calls.
