In order to achieve the goal of mass production of AM OLED TVs, the Korean government has provided strong support for the ongoing research and development of core production equipment and materials, and will expand to the development of the 8th generation technology in the future. In 2010, the government invested 75 trillion won to convert the vertical and horizontal coating process of the existing 5.5th generation AM OLED panel into vertical and horizontal connection technology. Private capital is expected to invest 10 trillion won in 2010-2013 for investment in production equipment for AM OLED panels.
