OSRAM launches new pocket-sized 1W LED (Figure)

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors has introduced a new high-quality white OSLONSSLLED. The LED's package size is only 3x3mm, and the luminous efficiency is excellent, usually up to 100lm/W. Because it maintains excellent luminous efficiency at high currents, and with simplified heat management, and high reliability and 80° beam angle, it lays the foundation for high application efficiency. LEDs are also an ideal source for spotlights, desk lamps and ceiling floodlights.

The new OSLONSSLLED replaces the halogen lamps used in spotlights, desk lamps and reading lamps, as well as LED bulb applications.

The new OSLONSSLLED is a 1W class LED that meets the needs of general lighting applications. The LED is very small in size, stable and reliable, and maintains excellent luminous efficiency even at high currents. In addition, because it has a beam angle of 80°, it is ideal to project light onto an external lens. Dr. Gunnar Moos, Solid State Lighting Marketing Manager at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, said: "Because of the LED's ability to handle high currents efficiently, customers can use it to create extremely energy-efficient and cost-effective lighting solutions, so OSLONLED has the future All the features of the 'green' light source. The LED's low thermal resistance is only 7K/W, making thermal management easier; its small size gives designers the flexibility to create complex and sophisticated lighting solutions. If you need extra strong light, you can combine several sources together. In addition to ultra-white light with a color temperature between 5700K and 6500K, medium white and warm white light will also be launched this summer, with color temperatures ranging from 2700K to 4500K.

OSLONSSLLED is manufactured using the latest chip technology to ensure extremely high luminous efficiency. At present, when the operating current is 350mA, the ultra-white light (color temperature of 5700K and 6500K) of the light source has a typical brightness of 110lm and a luminous flux of up to 130lm. When the working current is 350mA and the color temperature is 3000K, the typical luminous efficiency can reach 75lm/W and the brightness can reach 85lm. At an operating current of 700 mA (warm white light), the brightness can be as high as 155 lm, which is amazing! In short, the advantage of this LED is that a low level of LED can achieve a high level of illumination.
