For the 5G network construction, the focus will be on major urban centers such as Beijing, Shanghai, and cities in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta regions. The project aims to build continuous 5G coverage in dense urban areas and indoor environments, supporting applications like augmented reality, virtual reality, and high-definition video streaming. Key indicators include at least five cities deploying 5G in sub-6GHz bands, with each city having at least five 50G base stations and providing 5G services with latency under one millisecond and speeds above 100 Mbps. The third priority involves the initial phase of the quantum secure communications backbone network. Leveraging the "Beijing-Shanghai Trunk Line" and the "Micius" satellite, this project aims to establish a nationwide quantum-secured communication ring network, with metropolitan area networks and ground stations in key regions. It also includes the development of an operational service system to support applications in government, finance, and energy sectors.
