On June 21, 2009, Chinese Lighting Designers Association (CLDA) Xie Maotang, Huang Yumin, Ge Guohua, Aladdin Lighting Network Chen Meizhen and others visited Mr. Shi Qingtang, a professor at the School of Architecture of South China University of Technology. In 1949, Shi Qingtang studied painting with Zhang Chongren's master of art. After 1953, he studied sculpture composition and environment. In 1956, he designed the decoration and deep design of Shanghai Sino-Soviet Friendship Building with Soviet experts. He graduated from the Architecture Department of Tongji University in 1957 and was assigned to South China in 1957. He is a professor of architecture at the Faculty of Engineering. After retiring in 1994, he was mainly engaged in environmental landscape art work. He is also the author of Hong Kong Modern Interior Design, Hong Kong Environmental Art, Hong Kong Modern Residence and Decoration, and Shi Qingtang Architectural Painting Technique.

Professor Shi told us a lot of his previous stories. It is very interesting. The history of old age is high, but the speech is still very interesting. The whole chat process is very happy. For the design, Shi Lao has a lot to say, although he is now retired, but he still insists on painting, and wants to publish again, Mr. Shi Lao's love for architectural design has continued to this day.
After the visit, we stayed together and sincerely hope that Shi Lao can live a long and healthy life and be young in the world of design.
