And now, it seems Zhiqi has taken the crown from Corsair with its latest offering.
Recently, Zhiqi unveiled its new Ripjaws DDR4 SO-DIMM notebook memory kit. This time, it also features four 8GB modules, running at 4000MHz with a voltage of 1.35V. But what sets this kit apart is its optimized timing — 18-18-18-38 — which outperforms Corsair’s previous CL19 setup and even beats the older 19-23-23-45 timings. The kit also supports XMP 2.0 and is compatible with Intel Skylake-X processors as well as the ASRock X299E-ITX/AC motherboard.
The Zhiqi Ripjaws DDR4 4000 32GB (8G×4) is currently priced on the market, but exact details are still under wraps. What we do know is that the kit uses high-quality Samsung B-Die IC chips, ensuring stability and performance. It has already been tested on an ASUS X299E-ITX/AC motherboard with a Core i9-7900X processor, running for 6 hours without any issues.
Performance-wise, this memory is nothing short of impressive. AIDA64 benchmarks showed read speeds exceeding 100GB/s, reaching 101,106MB/s. Write speeds were nearly 90GB/s, and copy speeds topped 80GB/s — all solid numbers that highlight the kit’s power and reliability.
Zhiqi announced that the memory will be available in Q1 2018, though the price remains undisclosed. Considering the high-performance specs and the current shortage of top-tier memory chips, it’s safe to assume that this "world's fastest notebook memory kit" won’t come cheap.
