Achievements Shine in Galaxy Note8 Officially Landed in China

[PConline News] On September 13, 2017, Samsung Electronics hosted a Galaxy Note8 product launch event titled "Created with Note8" at the Beijing 751 D-PARK 79 Can. As the latest flagship in the Galaxy Note series, the Galaxy Note8 quickly became a hot topic in the tech world and received widespread praise from both media and consumers.

Mr. Gao Dongzheng, President of Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Communication Division, used the S Pen to write the word “Ingeniously” on stage, highlighting the unique appeal of the Galaxy Note8 and expressing his confidence in the Chinese market. He stated, “Samsung has always listened to the needs of Chinese consumers, delivering better experiences, higher quality, and more innovative technology. We prioritize user safety and product quality, and will continue to improve device security while learning from past lessons to build trust and become the most trusted brand among Chinese users.”

During the event, Mr. Sajeev Jesudas, Senior Vice President of UL, joined the stage to explain the battery safety testing of the Galaxy Note8. As a global leader in safety science, UL has over a century of expertise in lithium battery safety. The company conducted rigorous evaluations and certifications for the Galaxy Note8’s battery, ensuring it met high standards for performance, safety, and stability. The Note8’s battery pack and cells passed UL 1642 and UL 2054 certifications, proving its reliability.

The Galaxy Note8 was carefully tailored for the Chinese market, showcasing its advanced innovation through immersive demonstrations for attendees. It features two processor options: Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Samsung Exynos 8895, offering top-tier performance. The 6.3-inch QHD+ display (2960x1440) is the largest ever seen on a Galaxy Note device, surpassing even the S8 series. With 6GB RAM and storage options of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, the phone is built for power and versatility.

The camera system includes an 8MP front lens and a dual rear camera setup: 12MP wide-angle with F1.7 aperture and 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom. The phone runs on Android 7.1.1, supports IP68 waterproofing, iris recognition, and the enhanced S Pen. It also features a 3300mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD expansion.

The upgraded S Pen offers new creative possibilities, including dynamic notes and enhanced interaction. Its 0.7mm tip and 4096-level pressure sensitivity make it ideal for writing, drawing, and creating. The new handwriting feature turns everyday strokes into artistic expressions.

To cater to local tastes, Samsung introduced localized services like Samsung Pay, which integrates popular Chinese payment methods such as WeChat, Alipay, and bank cards. Samsung Reading also added a handwriting reading function, making digital reading more engaging. Additionally, Samsung partnered with Mobike to offer a hardware-level unlock feature via the camera, improving convenience for shared bike users.

Feng En, Marketing Director of Samsung China, announced special offers for Note7 users, allowing them to upgrade to the Galaxy Note8 for just 500 yuan or get a 528-yuan folding wireless charger. Existing butler services were also upgraded, offering extended battery replacement vouchers and exclusive benefits.

Samsung's exclusive butler service, launched earlier this year, achieved a 94% satisfaction rate. With the Galaxy Note8, it now includes more personalized services, such as a 120-yuan Microsoft Office voucher. This blend of technology and human touch reflects Samsung’s deep understanding of user needs.

The Galaxy Note8 was available for pre-order in three colors: Mystery Night Black, Mushi Gray, and Star River Blue. Prices started at 6,988 yuan for the 64GB model, with the 256GB version priced at 7,987 yuan. Pre-order customers had the chance to win Samsung points, a DeX docking station, or an entertainment package. These promotions aimed to enhance the overall user experience and strengthen Samsung’s position in the Chinese market.
