The 1B32 is a compact and highly reliable sensor that's perfect for portable pressure sensing applications. Due to its requirement for a negative supply voltage, a practical circuit design is presented here. This circuit uses a CMOS TLC555 timer connected to the positive terminal of a +12V battery. The timer typically draws about 360μA of current. It generates a square wave output, which is then rectified and filtered to produce a stable -9V power supply. To ensure proper operation and allow for adjustments, the excitation voltage applied to the 1B32 should be equal to or less than +9V. This setup provides a simple yet effective solution for generating the necessary negative voltage in low-power systems.
