DGUS II is a smart display that simplifies the development process significantly. On the hardware side, it can be considered as an integration of "LCD + touch screen + 128MB or more memory + audio playback." From a software perspective, DGUS II offers an efficient and low-power system that allows developers to quickly create graphical user interfaces and manage touch controls using the DGUS software. For basic and common functions, zero-code development is possible. This article provides a detailed overview of the DGUS development platform.
What is DGUS?
DGUS is the graphic application service software developed by Diwen, a powerful GUI solution designed in-house. When integrated with DGUS software, the smart screen becomes a DGUS screen. Unlike traditional LCD development, which often required complex coding, DGUS enables designers to create interfaces and animations in advance using tools like Photoshop. Once the visuals are ready, they can be imported directly into the DGUS software, where features are configured, and a configuration file is generated—done in minutes. This makes future interface updates and functional changes extremely easy.
It's clear from this that DGUS is a platform built for customers to develop high-reliability, full-graphics, touch-enabled human-machine interfaces efficiently. It offers simplicity, flexibility, a great UI experience, fast performance, and high reliability.
What is DGUS II?
DGUS II is the second-generation DGUS system based on the T5 CPU. Its main features include:
1. A dual-core T5 CPU architecture, allowing DGUS and DWIN OS to run in parallel on separate cores. Each core can operate up to 250MHz, ensuring fast response times and low power consumption.
2. Data processing speed is about 30 times faster than the first generation DGUS based on the T2 processor, resulting in a very smooth user interface.
3. Supports a maximum resolution of 1280x800 with a variable refresh rate of 40ms.
4. Features 8 UARTs, enabling a wide range of communication interfaces such as RS232, RS485, LAN, CAN, USB, Wi-Fi, and 3G.
5. Offers high-quality music playback and remote network management capabilities for text, images, and audio.
6. Includes a reliable database and a strong data management interface.
7. Can connect directly to Divin DCS devices.
8. Utilizes Divin’s patented hardware encryption algorithm and a dedicated CPU design for enhanced IP security.
Currently, DGUS II screens come in different series tailored for both high-end and low-end applications. Each product has its own set of core drivers, and the architecture is illustrated in the figure below. The key processors are designed and developed in-house by Divin.
