DGUS II is a smart display that simplifies the development process significantly. From a hardware perspective, a DGUS II screen can be considered as a combination of an LCD, touch screen, 128MB or more of memory, and music playback capabilities. On the software side, DGUS II offers an efficient and low-power system, enabling developers to quickly create custom LCD interfaces and touch controls using the DGUS software. For common functions, it's even possible to achieve zero-code development. This section provides a detailed overview of the DGUS development platform.
What is DGUS?
DGUS is the graphic user interface (GUI) application service software developed independently by Diwen. It's an intelligent GUI solution designed for embedded systems. A smart screen that integrates DGUS software is known as a DGUS screen. Previously, developing complex features on traditional LCD screens required extensive coding, but with DGUS, designers can now create all interfaces and animations in advance using tools like Photoshop. These images and icons can then be imported directly into the DGUS software, where they are configured and converted into a configuration file—essentially completing the development in one step. Future modifications to the interface design or functionality become much easier and more flexible.
This clearly shows that DGUS is a platform tailored for customers to quickly develop high-reliability, full-graphics, and touch-based human-machine interfaces. It offers simplicity in development, flexibility, excellent UI experience, fast performance, and high reliability.
What is DGUS II?
DGUS II is the second-generation DGUS system built on the T5 CPU. Its main features include:
1. A dual-core T5 CPU architecture, allowing DGUS and DWIN OS to run in parallel on separate processors. Each core can operate up to 250MHz, offering fast response times and low power consumption.
2. Data processing speed is about 30 times faster than the first generation based on the T2 processor, resulting in extremely smooth UI performance.
3. Supports a maximum resolution of 1280x800 with a variable refresh rate of 40ms.
4. Features 8 UARTs, enabling a wide range of communication interfaces such as RS232, RS485, LAN, CAN, USB, WiFi, and 3G.
5. Offers high-quality music playback and remote network management capabilities for text, images, and audio.
6. Includes a reliable database and a powerful data management interface.
7. Directly supports connection to Divin DCS devices.
8. Incorporates Divin’s patented hardware encryption algorithms and a dedicated CPU design for enhanced IP security.
Currently, DGUS II screens come in different series for both high-end and low-end applications. Each product line has its own core drivers, and the overall architecture is illustrated in the figure below. The key processors are designed and developed by Divin.
