After the opening of the world’s first commercial transportation cloud, BYD expects to increase the number of cities building a cloud in 2018 to 20

After its first commercial cloud rail line in Yinchuan, Ningxia, BYD has once again established a cloud production base in the city. Alongside its existing facilities for producing pure electric passenger cars, the company is now expanding its footprint with a new cloud rail manufacturing hub. According to the official website of the Yinchuan Municipal People's Government, on December 21, 2017, the city and BYD signed an investment cooperation agreement to jointly develop three key production bases: for the cloud rail, pure electric passenger cars, and another pure electric passenger car facility. This collaboration marked a significant step in BYD’s expansion into urban transportation solutions. The cloud rail, a cross-seat monorail system that runs above ground, has gained widespread attention. It was the result of five years of research and development, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan. In October 2016, BYD officially launched the cloud rail in Shenzhen, marking its entry into the rail transit industry. Just a year later, it had already transitioned from concept to commercial operation. On August 31 this year, the first commercial cloud rail line in Yinchuan opened to the public. This project represents China's first fully domestically developed cross-seat monorail system and marks BYD’s first global commercial cloud rail initiative. At the time of the opening, BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu emphasized that Yinchuan, as a key city along the "Belt and Road" initiative, would serve as a model for future urban rail projects worldwide. He highlighted the potential of the cloud rail to address urban congestion through innovative technology, setting a strong precedent for cities globally. Just four months after the launch, Yinchuan and BYD deepened their partnership, focusing on the establishment of three major industries: cloud rail, pure electric passenger car production, and another pure electric passenger car base. Acting Mayor Yang Yujing noted that the project would enhance both parties' participation in the "Belt and Road" industrial strategy, accelerate Yinchuan’s industrial transformation, and help build a stronger local enterprise. The cloud rail is part of BYD’s broader vision to tackle urban traffic challenges. According to a research report by Lianxun Securities, the cost of building a cloud rail is only one-fifth of a subway, and construction time is just one-third. This makes it ideal for branch lines in large cities and main routes in smaller ones. BYD’s 2017 semi-annual report indicated that China’s urban rail transit sector is entering a peak period during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan." Many provinces and cities have included rail transit development in their key projects. Looking ahead, BYD aims to promote low-carbon cloud rail solutions and expand partnerships with more cities to address growing traffic issues in small and medium-sized urban areas. Since the launch of the cloud rail in October 2016, BYD has formed strategic alliances with at least 14 cities, including Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Shantou, Hengyang, Yuxi, Guilin, Guang’an, Handan, Huai’an, Xi’an, Yinchuan, Jining, Jilin, and Anyang. The company expects the number of cities implementing cloud rail systems to rise to 20 in 2018.

2LAN Firewall Router

In a complex and ever-changing network environment, efficient routing and security protection equipment are the cornerstones of stable enterprise operations. Whether it is a small office, branch office, or an enterprise with strict requirements for network security, choosing the right network equipment can significantly improve connection efficiency and data protection capabilities. The following is a scenario analysis of the three core devices:

1. Router Mini PC: Small and versatile, redefining flexible networking
Compact design, uncompromising performance: Router Mini PC integrates routing, computing and expansion functions, and its volume is only 1/3 of that of traditional devices, making it easy to deploy in space-constrained scenarios (such as remote offices and smart home hubs).
Multi-functional integration: Supports systems such as OpenWRT/PFsense, and can be flexibly configured as a VPN Server, lightweight NAS or network monitoring terminal to meet diverse needs such as remote office and IoT management.
Low power consumption and high compatibility: Intel/ARM multi-platform hardware solutions, adapted to enterprise-level applications and open source ecology, taking into account energy efficiency and cost control.

2. Firewall Router: The perfect combination of security protection and intelligent routing
Enterprise-level threat defense: Integrates next-generation firewall (NGFW) functions, supports deep packet inspection (DPI), intrusion prevention (IPS) and real-time traffic analysis, and effectively intercepts malicious attacks and data leakage risks.
Intelligent traffic management: Optimize bandwidth allocation based on application/protocol QoS policies to ensure smooth operation of high-priority services such as video conferencing and cloud office.
Zero trust architecture support: Build an end-to-end secure network from edge to core through VPN encrypted tunnels and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
