Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei “heat meter paired temperature sensor” local calibration specification validation meeting

On the recent occasion of the validation meeting for the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Local Calibration Standard for Pairing," hosted by the Beijing Institute of Metrology and Detection, an important event took place in Beijing. This meeting aimed to evaluate and finalize a new calibration standard that is expected to bring significant improvements to the measurement accuracy of heat meters paired with temperature sensors across the region. A photo was taken during the event, capturing the atmosphere of the meeting. The image shows participants gathered in the venue, demonstrating their engagement and commitment to the project. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Director Liu Yong from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Quality Supervision's Metrology Bureau. Representatives from various institutions participated, including the Beijing Metrology Institute, the Tianjin Market Construction Management Committee, the Tianjin Metrology Institute, the Hebei Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau's Metrology Division, and the Hebei Province Metrology Institute. Technical staff from the drafting group, such as those from Thermal Power Group, Beijing Jingyuan Water Company, and Dalian Bokong Company, were also present. Five experts formed the validation committee, with Jin Zhijun from the China Institute of Metrology serving as its chairperson. Wang Jing and Yao Min, as chief editors from the Beijing Institute of Metrology and Energy, presented the details of the standard. Additionally, Bu Zhancheng, director of the Tianjin Metrology Institute, and other representatives provided further explanations. After thorough discussions and detailed reviews, the validation committee unanimously approved the specification, praising it for being scientific, practical, and innovative. Experts noted that the standard fills a critical gap in the field and sets a new benchmark for calibration methods related to heat meters and temperature sensors in China. In addition to the approval, the experts suggested several revisions to enhance the clarity and applicability of the document. The drafting group carefully considered these suggestions and made necessary adjustments before the final validation was completed. This milestone marks a significant step forward in promoting standardized and accurate metrological practices across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, ensuring better quality and consistency in energy measurement systems.
