Atmel launches next-generation active AM / FM antenna IC with rich functions
Atmel Corporation (Atmel CorporaTIon) announced to provide a new active antenna integrated circuit (IC) product designed for AM / FM automotive antenna applications ATR4252 IC, with the industry's highest integration, automatic gain control, with overvoltage Protected power supply voltage regulation function, and an antenna sensor. The new product assists designers to develop smaller, high-performance active antenna solutions for antenna applications placed in car mirrors, bumpers, rear windows, or side windows. This robust IC has a footprint of only 4mm x 5mm and can also be used for other types of automotive antennas, including car windows, rod-shaped or shark-fin antennas.
The ATR4252 has excellent performance, especially in terms of the characteristics of two important antenna ICs, noise and linearity behavior. The device has many practical functions, such as voltage regulation can provide important support when using unstable "phantom" feed (phantom feed); 50 ohm cable support allows the product to use more cost-effective cables; With automatic gain control (AGC), it can avoid the problems associated with large signals while maintaining high sensitivity.
