Dongguan LED lighting demonstration project can receive up to 10 million yuan subsidies

Yesterday, the Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Dongguan issued the “Circular on the Promotion and Application of LED Lighting Products in Construction Projects in the City” (hereinafter referred to as the “Notice”). Since October 1st this year, civil construction projects with financial or state-owned capital investment have been issued. The lighting project of the project, the outdoor street lamp, the courtyard lamp and the landscape lamp within the project scope will all adopt LED products.

The "Notice" requires that, in the future, new (reconstruction, expansion) government agencies, state-owned enterprises and other financial projects or state-owned capital investment in civil construction projects, lighting projects, the scope of the project outdoor street lights, garden lights and landscape lights are used LED products; indoor public areas within the project scope, such as basement, foyer, walkways, elevator halls, stairwells, and other lighting fixtures use LED lighting products.

At the same time, the residential construction department encourages civil investment in civil construction projects to promote the application of LED lighting products, and apply for provincial and municipal LED lighting application demonstration project financial subsidies as required. It is reported that according to the "Interim Measures for Subsidies for LED Lighting Application Demonstration Projects in Dongguan", LED lighting product demonstration projects can receive up to 10 million yuan in subsidies.

In addition, the "Notice" also made it clear that when signing design contracts and construction contracts, the construction unit should clearly stipulate the specific requirements for the use of LED lighting products. The contents and depth of the design drawings should meet the needs of construction and installation. The construction drawing design document review agency shall also include the relevant requirements for the use of LED lighting products in the contents of the building energy conservation review.

The township street (park) planning and construction office (bureau) is responsible for supervising the use of LED lighting products in eligible civil construction projects in the jurisdiction. In addition, the "Notice" also pointed out that in the future will encourage the use of contract energy management and other third-party investment methods to invest in LED lighting projects in Dongguan construction projects.
