European-wide lighting performance logo launch

Pan-European lighting performance logos have been launched to confirm the performance of traditional lamps and LED lamps. Enec+ has provided performance certification for lighting fixtures in the European market, which is a collaboration of the European Electrical Product Certification Association (EEPCA) and Lighting Europe, covering both LED and traditional fixtures. The founder hopes that it will be the only performance standard in Europe, replacing the crumbling performance mark of each country. The certification plan leaves room for technological and legal progress. The plan will cover the established life expectancy of the LED lamp. This mark allows the product to be fully traceable to an online database containing references and features of all certified products. LightingEurope said that with this database, vendors do not need to repeat testing according to different bidding rules when bidding, which will significantly reduce the costs borne by the manufacturer. All the initial specification elements are included in the ENEC license.
