Even the bus and taxi are equipped with led display devices to display advertisements and other information, especially the large led display in Jinan Quancheng Square. I used to play a variety of videos and advertisements, and I was deeply impressed by the LED display used in the new stadium of our Shanda Central Campus. The effect is very mysterious, so it has a good development prospect.

But the application of these LEDs is limited to the flat display, the effect is not the best, now I have to do is to make the flat display of the led into a stereo display. It is conceivable that if the LED flat screen display of Quancheng Square is changed into a body display, it will surely make our Quancheng have a dreamy color and give people a refreshing feeling. If it is used for commercial advertising, it is still a good choice. This commercial brand will definitely leave a deep mark on people's minds and achieve the effect of brand promotion. It can also be used in teaching, especially those with solid geometry, which will bring intuitive effects to students, which will surely be the gospel of education. He can also be used in dance halls, ktv and other entertainment venues, even personal entertainment and so on. I believe this must be a trend, and it will have broad business prospects.

The overall function of this project is to achieve a three-dimensional display of the stereo, aiming to explore a new display scheme. The function is as follows: In a stereo led dot matrix, by controlling the brightness and darkness of each pixel in the dot matrix, a stereoscopic graphic is displayed. Then through strict timing control and the persistence effect of the human eye, the image of one frame and one frame is quickly displayed to achieve a dynamic display effect.

1·scanning circuit

Because of the large number of I/O ports required for direct port control, an ordinary FPGA can't be implemented well. Therefore, we use a scanning circuit built by 74LS138 to control this part.

The scanning circuit that we finally designed and adopted is as follows: (The following figure shows the circuit diagram in the simulation software)

2. Implementation of the display part

Here we use the same as expected, is an 8 * 8 * 8 LED cube. The soldering of the hardware circuits is done by hand. The above scanning circuit is used to accurately control each LED to be turned on and off. Use the program to scan this LED, connect one pin of the LED part that we need to light to a high level, one pin is connected to a low level, and the LED that does not need to be lit only needs two pins to be grounded. Such an operation is to achieve control of all LEDs. The appropriate control can make this LED dot matrix display a certain three-dimensional graphics, we have adopted this idea, to achieve it to display some dynamic patterns, to achieve the desired results.

3·FPGA part

The FPGA is used to control the scanning of the LEDs so that it scans the LEDs in a predetermined manner to display a certain pattern. Through the control of the timing and the persistence effect of the human eye, a dynamic display effect is produced. The main task of the FPGA is to control the timing and determine what is displayed.

4. Software ideas

Our approach is to put the content to be displayed in the ram on the chip, read it through the timing control, and realize the stereo display.
