From March 4th to 5th, a work conference was held on the design of icing values ​​and design standards for ± 800 kV UHV DC transmission lines in Xiangjiaba-Shanghai, Jinping-Sulan.

On March 7, a special standby design scheme for UHV reactors in the southeastern Shanxi and Jingmen substations was held.

On June 17, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the “Procedure for the Purchase of Converter Stations for ±800 kV UHV DC Projects in Jinping-Suanning”.
From June 22 to July 9, the first UHV AC transformer developed by TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd. successfully passed type tests.
On June 27, the first 200 megawatts of UHV AC high-resistance aircraft arrived at the Jingmen substation site.
On June 30th, China’s first and the world’s first 1000MVA/1000kV single-unit UHV AC transformer successfully passed the long-term induced voltage test with partial discharge measurement at TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd. (ACLD) assessment.
On July 7, three 240-million UHV reactors produced by Xi'an Xideng Transformer Co., Ltd. arrived at the Nanyang switch station.
From July 7 to August 8, the UHV Construction Department, together with the Ministry of Science and Technology, held a mid-level inspection meeting for the U.S. and U.S. double-circuit key technology research topics in Beijing.
From July 7 to 16, the first batch of UHV AC transformers developed by Baoding Tianwei Baochang Electric Co., Ltd. successfully passed type tests.
On July 9, the first UHV AC transformer developed by TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd. successfully passed type tests.
On July 18, the UHV AC equipment work conference was held.
On the same day, the second group of three 240-barrier UHV reactors produced by Xi'an Xideng Transformer Co., Ltd. successfully arrived at the Nanyang switch station.
On July 28, the State Grid Power Research Institute completed the complete type test of a 1000 kV transformer bushing (produced by Areva P&V) for the UHV AC pilot demonstration project.
On July 31st, the 1000-volt Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project commissioning and acceptance committee held the second meeting.
From August 1st to 6th, the second 200mV UHV shunt reactor produced by the TBEA Hengyang Transformer Factory passed the factory test at one time.
On August 12th, the first 1000-MVA/1000-KV UHV AC transformer produced by Baoding Tianwei Baochang Electric Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered to Jindongnan Substation.
On August 15th, the proposal put forward by China in the establishment of the “New Technology Commission for High-Voltage Direct Current Transmission of DC Voltage Above 100 KV” by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was approved by the IEC Standardization Administration and numbered TC115. The secretariat is located in China. Marked a huge breakthrough in China's standardization work.
On August 18th, the Xiangjiaba-Shanghai U.S. high-voltage DC line Shanghai section optimization work conference was held.
On August 20th, the 1000 kV Jin South East-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project was completed.
On August 25th, the third UHV shunt reactor arrived at the Jindongnan Substation.
On August 30, the third UHV shunt reactor produced by the TBEA Hengyang Transformer Factory passed the factory test.
On the same day, the UHV HGIS developed by Xikai passed all type tests, marking the successful development of all UHV equipment including transformers, high-voltage reactors, and switches.
On September 5, the UHV Construction Department convened a 1000 kV Jin South East-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC Test Demonstration Project substation and system communication project completion acceptance meeting in Beijing. The meeting emphasized that all units should further strengthen their leadership, implement organizational implementation, implement personnel, implement resources, and implement measures. In strict accordance with the requirements of the plan, we will do our best to ensure that high quality work is completed on time.
From September 6th to 7th, the first main transformer of the UHV Jingmen substation and the second high-security aircraft arrived safely in place.
From September 9th to 10th, Zheng Baosen hosted the on-site construction work conference at the three exchange stations of Jingmen, Nanyang, and Jindong. The meeting heard the report on the progress of the project, fully affirmed the remarkable achievements of the project construction since the mobilization of the site on August 6th, analyzed the current situation and major problems, and studied and deployed the key work in the next stage.
From September 10 to 11, the DC Supervision Representative Office was commissioned by the UHV Construction Department to hold a review meeting for the design of the valve converter valve at Fengxian Converter Station in Xuchang.
From September 11th to December 12th, the UHV Construction Department held a preliminary design review meeting for the transmission of Pudong Electric Power to the Huainan-Shanghai Power Transmission Project in Suzhou and commissioned the China Electric Power Engineering Consultancy Group Corporation to conduct the review. The review meeting researched and determined the main technical principles of the project and the major technical projects of the project, reviewed and approved the design plans for the general line and substation (500 kV switch station) of the Suidong Power Transmission Project, and verified the project budget for the start of the project within the year. The goal laid a solid foundation.
From September 16 to 18, the power frequency parameters test of the line of 1000 kV Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project was successfully completed. This is the first time China has conducted field measurements on a million volt UHV AC transmission line. The measurement results will provide important calculation basis for the operation of the test demonstration project.
From September 16th to 18th, Beijing Electric Power Equipment Factory conducted a radio interference test of the Xiangjiaba-Shanghai DC smoothing reactor at the UHV DC test base. During the test, there was no visible visible corona in the flat resistance of various design solutions. The measured values ​​of the radio interference levels all met the standard requirements.
On September 17th, the UHV Construction Department held a test summary meeting of the UHV AC test demonstration project steady-state overvoltage control device in Beijing. The static pressure test and dynamic test report of the steady-state overvoltage device were reviewed and approved. The plan is September 25. The factory acceptance of the device is performed on a daily basis.
On September 18, the company’s Ministry of Science and Technology organized experts to examine and accept the research topics of UHV DC transmission project design specifications. Experts at the meeting listened to the report on the research of the project and discussed it seriously. After that, they believed that the research results of these topics have reached the international advanced level.
On September 20th, the third 200-mVA UHV AC reactor produced by the TBEA Hengyang Transformer Co., Ltd. successfully arrived at the site of the Jingmen substation under construction, and it took office safely on September 21.
On September 25, according to the equipment development plan, the first 400 kV low-end converter transformer in the Fengxian substation began to manufacture in Shenye. ABB technical instructors and the State Grid Corporation's factory supervisors were all in place. The preparation of major materials and tools has been completed.
From September 25 to 30, the third UHV AC transformer developed by TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd. successfully passed the factory test.
On September 26, the UHV Construction Department chaired the commissioning work meeting for the commissioning of the 500 kV access project for the UHV AC pilot demonstration project in Beijing. The meeting centered on the goal of start-up and commissioning of the 500 kV access project on October 20th, studied the problems related to the project construction, and arranged the next stage of work.
On September 30, Liu Zhenya and Zheng Baosen came to the Jingmen substation under construction to inspect the progress of the project and extended holiday greetings to the majority of builders across the project. Liu Zhenya emphasized that the construction of UHV pilot demonstration projects has entered a critical stage, but the project construction still faces many challenges. The task is arduous and the workload is large. Each link, every detail, such as equipment manufacturing, transportation, installation and commissioning, is related to the details. The success or failure of the project construction can not tolerate arrogance and carelessness.
On October 7, the first UHV transformer at the Jingmen substation of the UHV AC pilot demonstration project passed the on-site partial discharge test.
On the same day, at the third meeting of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)/International Large Power Grid Committee (Cigre) UHV Joint Working Group held in Geneva, China’s 1100 kV reference voltage was determined as the IEC standard voltage, marking China’s UHV AC Voltage level standards become international standards.
On the 14th of October, the acceptance and acceptance of the first phase of the substation of the 1,000 kV Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project was carried out in the southeastern Shanxi and Jingmen substations respectively. The acceptance team believes that the project content within the scope of acceptance of this project has been completed according to the design requirements. The construction quality meets the requirements of the current national standards and the power industry standards, and meets the design requirements; 500 kV and the public part of the electrical equipment operation Correct, reliable, and complete information is complete.
On October 17th, the second UHV transformer manufactured by Baoding Tianwei Baochang Electric Co., Ltd. arrived at the Jindongnan substation and successfully took office.
On the same day, the UHV Construction Department held a coordination meeting in Hefei for the commencement of construction of the Yangtze River Great Crossing Project for the Xiangjiaba-Shanghai UHV DC line. The meeting emphasized the importance of the project construction, put forward the requirements for the overall plan of the project, and the construction units reported in detail the implementation plans for the overall plan for the construction of the project, the construction plan before the flood season in 2009, and the recent specific work arrangements.
On October 18th, the third meeting of the 1000-V Volt Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project was held in Beijing. Zheng Baosen chaired the meeting and made a concluding speech. On the same day, the 1,000 kV GIS equipment (phase A) at the Jindongnan Substation successfully passed the withstand voltage test on site. The test results show that the technical indicators of the A phase 1000 kV GIS equipment in the southeastern UHV substation meet the design requirements, and the equipment manufacturing and installation quality is excellent and can be put into operation.
On October 19 and 22, the UHV Construction Department convened a start-up command group meeting to check all necessary conditions and to carry out specific deployment of the commissioning work.
On October 24th, the second UHV AC transformer at Jingmen Substation was successfully delivered, and it successfully took office safely on the 26th.
From October 20 to 25, 500 kV supporting start-up work for the southeastern Shanxi and Jingmen UHV substations was successfully completed, indicating that the 500 kV equipment of the UHV substation has operating conditions.
On October 31st, the 3rd UHV AC transformer from the Jindongnan Substation manufactured by Baoding Tianwei Baochang Electric Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered and put into place safely.
On November 4th, the 3rd UHV AC transformer of Jingmen Substation manufactured by TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered and put into place safely.
On November 6th, 7th and 10th, UHV AC pilot demonstration projects in Shanxi, Henan and Hubei provinces were completed in Changzhi City, Zhengzhou City and Wuhan City.
On November 11th, the fourth 320-mv UHV AC reactor manufactured by West China Transformer Co., Ltd. successfully arrived at the Jingmen substation under construction. On the 13th, it safely took office.
On November 13th, the UHV Construction Department convened a 1,000-volt Shanxi Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project in Beijing to review the start-up and completion acceptance procedures.
On November 14, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the “Approval for the Approval of the ±800kv UHV DC Converter Station Converter Station and Certain Transmission Line Projects in Jinping, Jiangsu and Jiangsu, Jiangsu Province”, and formally approved the construction of Jinping-Su Nan ±800 KV, 7.2 million kilowatts HVDC transmission project.
On November 15th, Jingmen Substation's 1000 kV HGIS equipment (phase C) successfully passed withstand voltage test on site. At this point, Jingmen substation 1000 kV HGIS on-site AC voltage withstand test has been completed.
From November 15 to 18, the 4th (standby phase) UHV AC transformer developed by the TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd. passed the factory test.
On November 17th, the 4th 200-mv UHV AC reactor manufactured by Hengchang was successfully delivered to the Jingmen substation under construction, and it took office safely on the 19th.
From November 17 to 18, the Nanyang substation passed the final acceptance.
From November 17 to 19, the No. 4 (standby phase) UHV AC transformer developed by Baoding Tianwei Baochang Electric Co., Ltd. in the southeastern Shanxi Power Plant successfully passed the factory test.
On November 20th, the 3rd UHV AC transformer (phase C) of the Jindongnan substation passed the long-term induction voltage with partial discharge measurement test. The test results meet the requirements of the handover test protocol. This indicates that the C-phase main transformer in the southeastern Shanxi substation has passed the on-site handover test project and possesses live operating conditions.
From November 21st to 23rd, the true test of the first base line tower of Xiangjiaba-Shanghai Engineering DC Line was completed at the pole and tower test base of China National Electric Power Research Institute and it was a complete success.
On November 24th and 27th, the 1,000-volt-voltage Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project Jingmen substation B and C-phase ultra-high voltage transformers passed the on-site partial discharge test. At this point, the Jingmen substation main transformer operation phase transfer test has been completed.
From November 25 to June 26, the southeastern Shanxi substation passed the acceptance check.
From November 26 to 28, the Jingmen substation passed the acceptance check.
On November 30th, the “±800 kV UHVDC dry hollow-core smooth wave reactor acceptance and technical appraisal meeting” jointly held by the State Grid Corporation of China and the China Machinery Industry Federation was held in Beijing.
On December 3, the work acceptance meeting for the UHV AC pilot demonstration project was held. The meeting held that all preparations for commissioning and commissioning of the UHV AC pilot demonstration project are in place, and the commissioning conditions for the second-phase 1000 kV system step-by-step start-up are available.
On December 5th, the fourth meeting of the commissioning and acceptance committee of the UHV AC pilot demonstration project was held in Beijing. Liu Zhenya attended the meeting and made an important speech.
On December 5, the evaluation of the construction of the UHV tower trial base was completed.
On December 8, the project completed the on-site testing and commissioning of all equipment and started system debugging.
On December 10th, the commissioning of the first phase of the UHV AC pilot demonstration project was successfully completed.
On December 17, the 800 kV high-end converter transformer developed by ABB for the Xiangjiaba-Shanghai UHV DC project successfully passed all type test projects.
On December 19th, Changzhi Substation, Nanyang Switch Station, Jingmen Substation, and State Power Dispatching and Communication Center simultaneously started the second phase of the commissioning of the video and telephone conference. The main venue is located at Changzhi Substation.
From December 25 to 29, the true test of the second base tower of the Xiangjiaba-Shanghai DC project passed the assessment at the China Electric Power Research Institute's tower trial base.
From December 27 to 29, DC control and protection equipment for the Xiangjiaba-Shanghai DC project Fulong and Fengxian Converter Station passed the factory test.
On December 28th, Liu Zhenya inspected the UHV Changzhi substation, condolences on-site commissioning personnel and project builders.
On December 30, the UHV AC project was officially put into trial operation for 168 hours. The system runs smoothly and the equipment performance is stable.
