Although the governor described in this paper is very simple, it can accurately adjust the speed of the motor whose working current does not exceed 1A.

As shown in the figure below, the NE555 is used as an oscillator, and the pulse frequency of its output (pin 3) can be adjusted within the range of 5-12 Hz. The adjustment range is determined by the values ​​of R1 and C1. A power output stage control motor is formed by transistors T1 and T2.

AJ1 and P1 can control the oscillation frequency of 555. There are two modes of "speed control" and "speed change" to choose from. The "speed" mode is to set P1 to a certain frequency and let the motor rotate at a certain speed. The “shift” mode uses the automatic control method to continuously adjust P1 to make the motor change the speed at any time.
